The Natural?!?!
Haha, I was waiting for someone to bring that one up. If you’ve ever read the book, the movie will be completely ruined for you. The book has a much darker ending that makes a lot more sense for the story arc; the movie tacked on the cheap Hollywood feel-good ending. I’d still put it at number 6, but if you haven’t seen Sugar, it’s maybe the most realistic movie you’ll ever see about modern baseball.
Being as I haven’t read the book or seen Sugar I have some research to do before I can comment further. Glad to know it was considered.
